Sandy joined Gautam & Associates in 2016 as an articled student and now practices primarily in our Insurance Defense department.
Sandy has appeared before both the Provincial and Supreme Court in British Columbia. She always makes a conscious effort to utilize alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation and settlement conferences to reach a speedy and cost effective result for her clients.
Sandy obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in sociology and a minor in criminology from Simon Fraser University. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from Lewis and Clark College of Law in Portland, Oregon. During law school Sandy was a member of her school’s Environmental Law Review. She also worked with the National Crime Victim Law Institute and her school’s legal clinic where she had the opportunity to help economically marginalized members of the community with legal matters. Sandy also worked as a research assistant focusing on the intersection of residential evictions and domestic violence.
Sandy was born and raised in Surrey, BC and is proud to work in her community. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and travelling with her husband.
